Atmos clocks are a very unique category of clocks. The driving force of the clock is the motor which works together with atmospheric pressure and temperature. The motor is filled with ethylene chloride gas which contracts and expands as the pressure and temperature changes, thus powering the mechanism. Therefore, this clock does not need to be wound for it to operate.
